Spencerville, Ontario
Spencerville is a thriving rural community located about 30 minutes south of Canada's Capital City (Ottawa) off the Veterans Memorial Highway (Highway 416). It falls within the municipality of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal in Leeds and Grenville United Counties.

Three churches are found in the community: Spencerville United Church, St. Laurence O'Toole Catholic Church, and St. John's Presbyterian Church. There is also an elementary school with students from Grades 4 to 8 called Centennial '67 Public School. The surrounding countryside is mainly agricultural (dairy, beef, poultry, and swine).
Spencerville holds the annual Spencerville Fair and the Highland Games.
Spencerville is also home to the Spencerville Mill, an old grist mill on the South Nation River. Spencerville, with only one main intersection, has a public library, Canada Post outlet, two general stores, one gas bar with an LCBO inside, Home Hardware, woodstove store, antiques shops, insurance company, funeral home, auto service centre, Chinese and local eateries and a Legion.
Spencerville also has a beautiful arena that's hosts junior league hockey tournaments from across Ontario, plus offers public skating. This arena and surrounding buildings was built by the George Drummond family, of Drummond's gas franchises.
